📖 Verse of the Day

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
Reflection:
When someone knocks at the door, many of us do the same thing before we answer. We glance around at the dishes, the clutter, the coat on the chair, and wish we’d had a few more minutes to get things ready.
Sometimes we feel that way with God, too. We think we need to get our hearts in order before we let Him in. But Jesus comes to us first. He says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.”
He said these words to a church that had grown half-hearted toward Him. Even so, He came to their door, because He longed to sit down and share a meal with them, the way old friends do.
He’s at your door this morning, too. He isn’t coming to inspect your life. He’s coming to share it. There’s nothing you need to tidy up first. He already knows everything inside, and He still wants to come in.
Ask Yourself:
If Jesus sat down at my table this morning, what would I want to tell Him first?
Who in my life needs to hear that Jesus still wants them?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Lord Jesus,
Before anything else today, I want to open the door to You. Forgive me for the times I’ve kept You waiting while I tried to get everything in order first. Thank You for wanting to be part of even my most ordinary days. Please help me hear Your voice in the hours ahead and keep my heart open to You. You are always welcome here, in every corner of my life.
In Your precious name, Amen.
🖋 Quote of the Day
“You don’t need to unburden or collect yourself and then come to Jesus. Your very burden is what qualifies you to come.”
