📖 Verse of the Day

“A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
Reflection:
Some days, a cheerful heart feels like the furthest thing from reality. You wake up heavy, your mind racing, and verses about “joy” can almost feel like pressure. But Proverbs 17:22 isn’t scolding you—it’s inviting you to healing.
A cheerful heart is “good medicine” not because it denies what hurts, but because it lets God’s presence into the hurt. Biblical joy isn’t pretending everything is fine. It’s being honest about what isn’t, while holding onto a deeper truth: God is still with you, still good, still writing your story.
Sometimes that medicine looks small: a sincere laugh with a friend, a walk outside, a worship song that meets you in the car, a moment when you remember, I’m not carrying this alone.
A crushed spirit dries us out from the inside, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted. Today, you don’t have to force a fake smile—you can simply open your heart and let His joy begin to do its quiet, healing work.
Ask Yourself:
Where have I started to believe that joy is “not for me” in this season?
What is one small, simple way I can let God’s joy back into my day today?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Dear God,
You say a cheerful heart is good medicine, but some days mine feels tired and heavy. I smile while my soul feels worn out inside. Thank You that You see past the surface and care about the parts of me that feel crushed.
Today I bring You the worry and weariness I’ve been carrying. Breathe Your joy into those places. Help me notice glimpses of Your goodness, and let Your presence be the medicine my heart needs.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Feed Children, Transform Lives!
Dalila is only 12 years old but growing up in Africa—hunger is part of her daily life. Often, she goes without enough food to eat. Yet her greatest need isn't just a meal—it's the hope found in Jesus Christ.
When children like Dalila are reached through Mission to Children, they receive more than just a meal. They're connected to a local Bible-teaching church that can help them grow in faith, provide a loving support system, and protect them from exploitation and neglect. It's a relationship that can change the course of a child's future.
Your gift of $30 today will reach 15 children with a meal and the gospel and connect them to a church that can disciple them. Give today and help hungry children like Dalila experience both physical nourishment and the life-changing hope of Christ.
