📖 Verse of the Day
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
Reflection:
On the bright days, it’s easy to feel blessed. The people we love are well, our prayers are being answered, and our hearts feel full. But when a season turns hot and dry, a quiet worry can slip in: maybe God’s blessing has passed us by.
God paints a different picture: “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.” That person is like a tree planted by the water. The heat still comes. Dry years still come. He never promised that tree a life without heat. He promised it water.
A hard season doesn’t mean you’ve lost His blessing. It doesn’t mean He has stepped away. He loves you on the dry days just as much as on the bright ones, and He is as close to you now as He has ever been.
Every time you turn to Him, your roots go a little deeper, and your leaves can stay green in any weather. The heat is real, but so is the stream.
Ask Yourself:
What has God grown in me through a hard season that I can thank Him for?
Who do I know who’s going through a lot right now, and how could I refresh them today?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Dear Lord,
My heart is thirsty for You in every season. When life is bright, I don’t want to forget where my strength comes from, and when it turns dry, I don’t want to go looking for water anywhere else. Thank You for being faithful to me again and again, and for being so near when the heat comes. Please help me trust You a little more today, so my life can stay green and fruitful for You.
