📖 Verse of the Day

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Reflection:
Sometimes there’s a quiet moment, often at the end of a long day, when you’ve given and prayed and shown up again, and nothing seems to change. And the question slips in: Why do I even bother?
Paul knew that feeling. Today’s verse comes from a letter to people he had poured his life into. Earlier in that letter, he tells them he was afraid all his work for them had been wasted. And yet, a little further on, he wrote, “Let us not become weary in doing good.”
Maybe someone has told you, even years later, that something you said or did helped them through a hard time. You might have long forgotten it. They never did. God’s harvest often comes like that: quietly, at the proper time, from seeds you didn’t even know you planted.
Take heart. The harvest may not be in sight yet, but God remembers every seed, even the ones you’ve forgotten, and not one of them will go to waste.
Ask Yourself:
Where am I most tempted to give up doing good because I don’t see results?
How might I view my efforts differently if I truly believed a harvest was coming?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Father in Heaven,
When I’m tired, and I can’t tell if any of the good I do is making a difference, thank You for treasuring what no one else even notices. Every quiet kindness. Every whispered prayer. Every time I chose to keep going when I wanted to stop.
When my strength runs low, please hold me up a little longer, and fill me again with the joy of doing it for You.
And whenever I feel like giving up, thank You for never giving up on me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
