๐Ÿ“– Verse of the Day

โ€œLet us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.โ€

Reflection:

Ever watched a farmer in the long stretch between planting and harvest? There's that middle season where doubt whispers: "Maybe the seeds were bad. Maybe the effort was wasted. Maybe there will be no harvest after all."

Galatians 6:9 speaks directly into our middle seasons. Paul understood that doing goodโ€”whether parenting children, serving others, standing for truth, or persevering in prayerโ€”often stretches through periods where nothing seems to change. Seeds of faithfulness disappear into soil with no immediate evidence of growth.

The weariness Paul describes isn't just physical exhaustion but heart fatigueโ€”that soul-tiredness that comes when we've poured ourselves out and wonder if it matters.

Into this weariness, God speaks a farmer's promise: the harvest will come "at the proper time." Not on our schedule, but in the perfect season determined by the Master Gardener. Our calling isn't to produce the harvestโ€”that's God's work. Our calling is simply not to give up.

Today, whatever good you're doing that seems unnoticed, take heart. Your faithful planting will yield a harvest that will make every moment of waiting worthwhile.

Ask Yourself:

  • Where am I most tempted to give up doing good because I don't see results?

  • How might I view my efforts differently if I truly believed a harvest was coming?

๐Ÿ™ Prayer of the Day

Father in Heaven,

When I become weary in doing good, renew my strength with Your promise of harvest. Remind me that at the proper time, I will reap if I do not give up.

Help me to see each act of kindness, each choice to serve others, each stand for what's right as seeds planted in faith. When results aren't visible, give me courage to continue sowing goodness, trusting Your perfect timing.

Thank You that no act of goodness done in Your name is ever wasted, even when the harvest remains unseen.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
