📖 Verse of the Day

Reflection:

How many names do we carry without saying them out loud? Not enough. Too much. Too far gone. Some were handed to us, some we gave ourselves, and we wear them like old coats we can’t quite take off.

But then comes 1 John 3:1, like a Father’s voice calling over the noise: “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” Not strangers. Not servants. Not someone He’s still making up His mind about. Children.

And as if a name alone weren’t enough, John adds: “And that is what we are!” This love isn’t measured or earned. It’s poured out like rain on thirsty ground. The One who hung the stars looks at you and calls you His own.

Today, let His voice be louder than every other name. You are not your worst day, and you are not the labels you’ve worn for years. You are a child of God, deeply loved and completely His. And that is what you are.

Ask Yourself:

• What old name have I been answering to that God never gave me?

• Who could I remind today that they are precious to God?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Dear Father,

Some mornings I still answer to the old names: not enough, too much, too far gone. But You have called me Your child, and You don’t take that back.

Thank You for a love I could never earn, poured out on me anyway. When I forget who I am, remind me whose I am. Help me live today like someone who is truly loved, because I am.

And let me love others the same way You love me.
