🌞 Good morning,

Here’s something worth knowing before the day gets busy: God isn’t keeping score. Today’s verse shows what He does instead.

Have a blessed day.

📖 Verse of the Day

1 John 1:9 verse card: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Reflection:

“I’m sorry.” Two small words, yet some of the hardest we ever say. And even after we say them, we often watch the other person’s face, wondering if we’re truly forgiven or if it will come up again.

Sometimes we come to God that way too. But John, writing to believers he loved like his own children, put their hearts at rest: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

God doesn’t forgive because He’s in a good mood, or because you found the perfect words. He forgives because He is faithful: He promised, and He keeps His word. And He is just: Jesus has already paid for every sin you bring Him.

So you never have to wonder how He’ll look at you. He won’t bring it up again. He washes it all away, even what you didn’t know to name. You’re not hoping He’ll be kind. You’re trusting a promise He has never broken.

Ask Yourself:

  • What could I bring to God today, knowing He has promised to forgive?

  • How could I answer someone’s “I’m sorry” a little more the way God answers mine?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Heavenly Father,

I don’t want anything hidden between us. Some days I keep my mistakes to myself and try to carry them on my own, when You’ve been ready to forgive all along. Thank You for Jesus, who carried every one of them to the cross. Please help me hand everything over to You, big or small, and let You make me clean. I want to walk in Your light today, forgiven and free.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
