📖 Verse of the Day

“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”

Reflection:

Gratitude can feel complicated. Some days you know exactly what to thank God for; other days you stare at your life and think, I don’t even know where to start. Psalm 9:1 gives us a simple, honest place to begin.

“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart…”

David doesn’t say, “I feel thankful today.” He makes a choice: I will. Wholehearted thanks is less about having a perfect life and more about having a practiced memory. It looks back and names the moments God showed up—big and small, loud and quiet, decades ago and just this morning.

When you start to remember, you realize you’re not abandoned—you’re carried. Not overlooked, but seen. Not empty, but held by a God who has been good to you again and again.

And as that kind of gratitude grows, it can’t stay inside—it becomes a story you can’t help but share.

Today, you don’t have to pretend everything is easy. You can be honest about the hard and still say: “Lord, I remember what You’ve done—and with all my heart, I thank You.”

Ask Yourself:

  • What’s one way God has carried me that I’ve forgotten to thank Him for?

  • How could remembering His past faithfulness change how I face today?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Dear Father,

Some days gratitude comes easily. Other days I look at my life and don’t know where to begin. My mind goes straight to what’s missing, what hurts, what still hasn’t changed. But today, I want to remember.

Thank You for the moments You showed up when I needed You most. For the ways You carried me that I didn’t notice at the time. For being faithful again and again, even when I forgot to say thank You.

With all my heart, Lord—thank You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🖋 Quote of the Day

“When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed, when you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, count your many blessings; name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.”
