📖 Verse of the Day
“Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life.”
Reflection:
There’s a little prayer in the Psalms that might be the most beautiful way to begin a day: “Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love.”
Most mornings, plenty of voices try to get the first word in. The alarm. The to-do list. The thoughts that somehow woke up before we did. This prayer asks God to speak first, and His first word is always love.
Not love that depends on how well you slept or how ready you feel. Not love that fades by afternoon. His love is unfailing. It doesn’t wear thin, it doesn’t run out, and it never changes its mind about you.
So before the day says anything else, let the One who brings up the sun tell you this: you are loved. Trust Him with every decision and every unknown, and He will show you the way. His love had the first word this morning, and it will have the last word tonight.
Ask Yourself:
What usually gets the first word in my mornings, and what would change if God’s love did?
Who could I bring a word of love to today, the way God brings one to me?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Dear Lord,
There are mornings when my thoughts start racing before I’m even out of bed. Before anything else fills my mind today, I want to hear Your love first.
Thank You that Your love for me is unfailing, even when I can’t feel it, and that it doesn’t change with my mood. So I trust You with this day and everything it holds. Please help me follow where You lead, one step at a time.
Today, I entrust my life to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
