📖 Verse of the Day
“A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.”
Reflection:
When I read Solomon’s words, I feel that gentle tug: live for more than yourself. It’s so easy to get swallowed by budgets, bills, and just getting by. But Proverbs 13:22 lifts our eyes beyond the present and into the faces still to come, reminding us that what we leave behind is far richer than money.
An inheritance is the faith your children remember when they watched you cling to God in the storm. It’s love woven into family traditions that made them feel safe and known. It’s wisdom born from mistakes and softened by grace. And yes, when possible, it’s the practical provision—the wise stewardship—that gives the next generation space to breathe and grow.
We’ve all seen fortunes built on selfishness collapse. But generosity, integrity, and steady trust in Jesus? Those ripple forward, blessing people we may never meet.
Every choice today is a seed in soil we may never see bloom. Plant what lasts, and let God tend the garden long after you’re gone.
Ask yourself:
What kind of inheritance—faith, love, wisdom, generosity—am I building for those who come after me?
How can my choices today ripple forward to bless people I may never meet?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for seeing beyond my lifetime to generations I may never meet. Teach me to build with eternity in mind—for my children and their children.
Give me wisdom to know what's worth passing on. Strengthen my faith when storms come, knowing others learn from how I weather them. Teach me to hold wealth loosely and love fiercely, leaving fingerprints of Your grace on every life I touch.
Thank You for letting my small life echo into eternity.
