📖 Verse of the Day

“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Reflection:
It can be easier to notice how far we still have to go than how far God has brought us. We see the patience we lack, the habit we’re still changing, the prayer we’ve had to pray again. But Paul looked at the believers in Philippi and saw something more: a good work God had begun. His confidence wasn’t that they would get everything right. It was that God would carry His work through to completion.
That gives us a different way to look at growth. The apology that comes a little sooner, the gentler answer, the willingness to forgive can be small signs of His grace at work. We can thank Him for them and keep responding to Him where change is still needed. We don’t have to pretend we’ve arrived, and we don’t have to give up because we haven’t. Today, take heart: the One who began His work in you has not walked away from it.
Ask Yourself:
Where can I see a small way God has changed me that I haven’t thanked Him for?
What is one change I can ask God to help me make today?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for beginning a good work in me and for staying with me as I grow. When I see only what still needs changing, help me remember the grace that has already brought me this far.
Keep my heart open to Your correction and my hope rooted in Your faithfulness. Make me more like Jesus, one ordinary day at a time. Help me be patient with others who are growing, too.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
