🙏 Verse of the Day: Matthew 25:40

together with

🌞 Good morning,

One of the greatest joys in life is bringing hope to someone who desperately needs it. This Giving Tuesday, Mercy Ships is doubling every gift to provide free surgeries to children in need (more details below).

Give here if you'd like to be part of that hope today.

Have a blessed day.

📖 Verse of the Day

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

Reflection

I used to think getting closer to Jesus was mostly about what happened in “spiritual” moments—longer prayers, deeper Bible study, better church attendance. All good things. But then I sat with Matthew 25:40 and realized I’d been missing something beautiful.

Jesus doesn’t only wait for us in church pews and quiet rooms. He identifies Himself with every hurting child, every struggling mother, every person the world finds easy to ignore. And here’s what still takes my breath away: when you reach out to them in His name, He says you’re reaching out to Him.

Think about that. When you help bring healing to a child who’s suffering, Jesus receives it as if you placed it directly into His hands. When you love someone the world has forgotten, the King of Kings whispers, “You did that for Me.”

Most days, you won’t feel heroic. You’ll just feel tired, busy, ordinary. But Heaven is keeping quiet record of every act of love done in His name.

Today, you have the holy privilege of touching the heart of Jesus by touching those who need it most.

Ask Yourself

  • Who are "the least of these" in my world that Jesus is asking me to see and serve?

  • How does knowing Jesus receives my compassion change how I respond to those in need?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Dear God,

I confess that I sometimes look for You at church services and quiet moments while walking right past You in the faces of people who are hurting. Forgive me for the times I've been too tired, too busy, or too unsure to stop and see them—to see You.

Open my eyes today. You know I can't help everyone, but show me the one person I can love. Give me a willing heart and open hands.

Let my compassion, no matter how small, be my worship.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

🖋 Quote of the Day

"Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion looks out to the world."

— Teresa of Ávila

🎵 Worship Song of the Day

"Here I Am, Lord" – John Michael Talbot

This gentle hymn echoes today’s verse with a simple prayer: “Here I am, send me.” As you listen, let it become your response to Jesus—offering yourself to love “the least of these” in His name.
