Some mornings you don’t need a pep talk. You need someone to tell you the truth and then stay right beside you. That’s exactly what Jesus does in today’s verse.

📖 Verse of the Day

Reflection:

There’s something comforting about how honest Jesus is here. He doesn’t promise His friends an easy road. He tells them plainly that trouble is coming, and in the same breath, He tells them not to be afraid.

He said it at the table, the night He was arrested. Within hours Peter would swear he’d never met Him, and the rest would run. Jesus knew all of it. He looked at men who were about to fail Him and said, “Take heart.” Not because they would hold on to Him, but because He would hold on to them.

That’s where His peace comes from. It isn’t the absence of trouble. It’s Him, right in the middle of it. The world can rattle everything around you and still not touch the one thing He’s given you.

You might be walking into a hard day. But the worst this world can do has already been done to Jesus, and He walked out of the tomb on the other side. Whatever’s waiting for you today has already been overcome.

Ask Yourself:

• What trouble am I facing right now that I’ve been treating like it’s bigger than Jesus?

• Where do I need Jesus’ peace in the middle of my trouble today, not just after it?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Dear God,

Thank You for being honest with me. You never said this life would be easy, but You promised I would never walk through it alone, and that has carried me further than I can say.

When trouble comes, and it will, help me remember Your words. Let Your peace settle over my heart before the fear does, and let me rest in knowing You have already overcome everything that comes against me.

Thank You for winning a battle I could never win.
