Reflection:

Some days end with nothing left — not for the dishes, not for the phone call you owe, not even for the people you love most.

We're patient with a tired body and strangely hard on a tired heart. That's who Isaiah was writing to — a worn-out people saying the quiet thing out loud: that God has lost track of them. God's answer isn't a lecture. It's a promise: He gives strength to the weary.

Notice who gets named — not the capable, not the ones still holding it together. Emptiness isn't what disqualifies us here; it's the address this verse was written to. His strength isn't a prize for the strong. It's a gift for people who know they aren't.

So there's no threshold to clear first, no reserve you have to bring. If what's missing today is strength itself, that's not a reason to wait — it's the reason to ask. Ask plainly, in whatever words are already true.

Ask yourself:

• Is there a part of your life you've quietly assumed God has stopped noticing?

• What would it look like to ask God for strength today before trying to gather your own?

Dear God,

Some mornings I come to You with less than I'd like. Thank You for meeting me there — for being a God who gives strength to the weary instead of demanding it first.

Please be my strength where mine runs out. Give me enough for the ordinary hours — the errands, the messages, the people who need me. And when this day is done, let me find that You were enough.
