📖 Verse of the Day
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”
Reflection:
Most of the peace we know is borrowed: from a quiet day, a bit of good news, a problem finally solved. For a little while, we breathe easier. But borrowed peace always has to be given back. Let one thing go wrong, and it’s gone.
Isaiah wrote a song about another kind: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” God doesn’t lend this peace and then ask for it back. He keeps us in it, through every kind of day.
A steadfast mind isn’t one that never feels shaken. It’s one that leans its whole weight on the One who can’t be shaken. Maybe your mind has been anywhere but steady lately. You can still lean on Him, just as you are.
He isn’t waiting for you to feel calm first. Right now, as you read these words, He is holding you close. You are not the one keeping everything together. You are the one being kept.
Ask Yourself:
Where have I been borrowing peace lately, and what would it feel like to let God keep me in His?
Who in my life needs to hear today that they don’t have to hold it all together?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father,
You are my Rock, even when my thoughts won’t sit still. Thank You for keeping me in more ways than I’ll ever see, and for staying close even when my mind wanders.
Sometimes I try to carry everything in my own head, and peace feels far away. Help me bring each worry back to You, one at a time, and trust You with it.
Keep my mind steady on You today, Lord, and let Your perfect peace hold me when nothing else can.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
