📖 Verse of the Day

Reflection:

Joseph’s life reads like a list of things that were never supposed to happen. He was sold by his brothers, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison by the one man who could have freed him. Years went by with no sign it would add up to anything.

Then it did. The boy from the pit ended up running Egypt’s grain through a famine. Years later, the brothers who sold him knelt in front of him, afraid of what he’d do. He could have said anything. What he said was this: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.”

Joseph didn’t pretend the harm wasn’t real. He named it. He just refused to believe it was the whole story.

Maybe you’re in one of those chapters, the one that wasn’t supposed to happen: the diagnosis, the door that closed, the person who walked away. You don’t have to see the good yet. Joseph couldn’t either, not for years.

But the God who wrote his story is writing yours. And He isn’t done.

Ask Yourself:

• What part of my story feels like it was never supposed to happen, and can I trust God with where it leads?

• Is there someone I need to forgive the way Joseph forgave his brothers?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Dear Father,

You know what happened, what it cost, and what still hurts. Thank You that none of it is hidden from You, and none of it is wasted.

When I can only see today’s page, help me trust that You’re still writing the story. Take the bitterness before it takes root, give me courage to hope again, and a heart like Joseph’s that can one day say You meant it for good.

Thank You for never leaving a chapter unfinished.
