📖 Verse of the Day

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Reflection:

Moses spoke these words to Joshua at a terrifying moment—he was about to lead an entire nation into enemy territory. Joshua wasn't a superhero. He was a regular person being asked to do something that felt impossible. And God didn't tell him "don't be afraid." He said "be strong and courageous" knowing Joshua would be afraid, but giving him the reason he could move forward anyway.

Here's why: "the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." That's not just encouragement—it's a promise. God doesn't send you into hard things alone and then watch from a distance. He goes with you. Into the battle, into the unknown, into whatever makes your hands shake.

Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's taking the next step even when you're afraid, because you know you're not walking it alone. God is already in the place you're afraid to go.

Ask Yourself:

  • What step is God asking me to take that feels too scary to face alone?

  • How would I move differently today if I really believed God goes with me into every hard moment?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Father,

Sometimes courage feels impossible when I look at what's ahead. The fear whispers I'm not strong enough, not brave enough, not ready. But then I remember Your promise: You go with me—not just beside me, but with me in every hard moment.

When I'm afraid, help me take one step forward knowing You've already gone ahead. When I feel weak, remind me that's when Your strength shows up best.

I don't have to face today alone. You are with me, and that changes everything.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
