πŸ“– Verse of the Day

β€œWhatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,”

Reflection:

Have you ever wondered whether the ordinary work of your day matters to God? Colossians 3:23 begins with a word wide enough to gather it all: "Whatever." "Whatever you do," Paul writes, "work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord."

These words first reached people whose labor was controlled by earthly masters and easily overlooked. Yet Paul gave their work a dignity no human opinion could remove: "It is the Lord Christ you are serving." It mattered to Him.

That means Monday is not divided into meaningful work and meaningless work. The task you enjoy, the task you repeat, the kindness no one applaudsβ€”each can be offered to the Lord. Your work does not need applause to become worship.

You may begin this week with a crowded inbox, a tired body, or a job that feels small. Bring God the next task and your whole heart with it. He is the One you are serving. No part of a day given to Him is ordinary.

Ask Yourself:

  • Which part of my work have I been treating as too ordinary to matter to God?

  • What task can I offer to the Lord with all my heart today?

πŸ™ Prayer of the Day

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You that my ordinary work matters to You. You see the work and care others miss. What a comfort that nothing offered to You is small, because it is the Lord Christ I am serving.

When I feel overlooked, lift my heart back to You. Fill me with fresh purpose and quiet joy for today's work. Help me serve with all my heart, not for applause, but because I am loved by You. Let this ordinary Monday become worship.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

🎡 Worship Song of the Day

"Christ Be Magnified" by Cody Carnes

Its anthem β€” "let my whole life be a song… Christ be magnified in me" β€” turns everything we do into worship. It's Colossians 3:23 lifted into a chorus: whatever your hands find today, offered to make Him great.
