📖 Verse of the Day

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
Reflection:
Have you ever been knocked down so hard you wondered if you’d get back up? In Lystra, Paul was stoned by an angry crowd and dragged outside the city, left for dead. But as his friends gathered around him, he got up and walked back into the city.
Years later, he wrote today’s verse, and you can almost hear that day in it: “struck down, but not destroyed.” He knew the strength that lifted him was never his own. It was God’s, and it still is.
Maybe something has knocked you down too: a loss, a worry that won’t let go, or a week that feels like too much. Friend, please hear this: you are not finished. You may be pressed, but you are not crushed. You may be hurting, but you are not abandoned.
The same God who brought Paul back to his feet is holding you right now. He sees you, He loves you, and He will lift you up again. You don’t have to stand on your own. Lean on Him.
Ask Yourself:
When has God helped me stand again after life knocked me down?
How could I gather around someone who’s been knocked down lately, the way Paul’s friends did?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Father,
Thank You for holding me on the days I feel strong and on the days I can barely stand. Thank You for every time You’ve lifted me up when life knocked me down, even when I didn’t have the strength to ask. Today, I’m leaning on You, holding on to the truth that I am not crushed, not forgotten, and never alone, because You are right here with me. Please fill my heart with Your peace as I walk into this week with You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
